The SwimSafer programme is a national water safety programme by Sport Singapore. Children progress through 6 stages, building swimming proficiency and water survival skills.

Intermediate Swimming & Water Survival

Competitive strokes, 200m swimming, and lifesaving basics

Advanced Swimming & Lifesaving

All four strokes proficiency, 400m swimming, and open water survival

Age Guide

  • Ages 4-6 SwimSafer Stage 1-2. Focus on water confidence and basic skills.
  • Ages 7-9 SwimSafer Stage 2-4. Stroke development and water survival.
  • Ages 10-12 SwimSafer Stage 3-6. Competitive strokes and endurance.
